Thank you for visiting. This cause, fighting poverty, is very dear to our team, and we appreciate all the support we can get! Together we can make a difference!
As in 2005, we will be doing the whole distance from Vancouver to Halifax on Big Blue, our tandem bicycle, and Peter will also be serving as a chaplain. As a tandem team we were each required to raise $12,000 ($24,000 combined). Thanks to God and the support of so many generous and compassionate donors, we have almost reached our goal. Believing that all things are possible with God, we will continue raising funds towards the tour's $1 million total. Therefore, we have raised our team goal to $30,000. Like the distance, this fundraising goal is a BHAG (big, hairy, audacious goal). But in God's strength and with your help, we believe that it can be done. Imagine the many people who will be helped not with a hand out but with a hand up!
Twelve years after our first Sea to Sea tour across Canada, we're somewhat nervous but mainly excited about taking on this fundraising and cycling challenge again in the year that Canada celebrates her 150th birthday as a nation.
Please also pray for us and all of the 135 registered cyclists who are now training outdoors in preparation for this summer's ride.
We can't thank God enough for you!
